A Community for Ex Muslims Since 2019
Ex-Muslims face significant persecution in many regions of the world. In certain societies, leaving Islam is viewed as a serious offense that can result in social ostracization, discrimination, and even violence. In some countries, apostasy is punishable by death under interpretations of Sharia law, placing individuals at extreme personal risk.
As a result, many former Muslims live in constant fear. Their decision to leave the faith can lead to rejection by their families and communities, often leaving them without emotional, social, or physical support. In order to protect themselves, many are forced to live double lives, concealing their true beliefs while outwardly conforming to religious expectations.
This environment of fear and suppression restricts fundamental freedoms, including freedom of thought, expression, and religion. It denies individuals the basic human right to follow their conscience and live authentically.
The persecution of ex-Muslims remains a serious human rights concern that requires greater global awareness, compassion, and collective efforts to ensure their safety, dignity, and freedom to openly live according to their beliefs.
